Three Smithfield wrestlers finished in third place at the Class 4 state wrestling tournament Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Junior Evan Christoffer won his consolation final at 106 pounds with a 3-0 decision, and junior Nik Voros won by pin in the 120 consolation final.
Senior Cameron Hatchett finished his high school career with a third-place finish at 145.
Hunter Ray (126) and Brady Stalls (160) placed fourth for Smithfield, which finished fifth in the team standings.
