Flags representing Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and the newest branch, Space Force, will adorn the entrance-way of SMS. On hand for the event were VFW Post 8545 Commander Bruce Fischer, and Chaplain John T. Edwards, Auxiliary President Loretta Ferris, and Marie Arinello. They were joined by Principal Todd Christiansen, Assistant Principal Natalie Street, Superintendent Dr. Jim Thornton, and SMS staff. We thank the VFW for joining in this partnership that will allow students to recognize and appreciate the armed forces of the United States.
