IWCS Announces Additional Administrative Changes for the 2022-2023 School Year

The School Board of Isle of Wight County recently approved several building leadership positions, which are effective July 1, 2022 unless otherwise noted.

Patricia Cuffee has been named Principal at Smithfield High School for the 2022-23 school year.  Cuffee comes to Isle of Wight with seventeen years of school administration experience, including three years as Assistant Principal at Smithfield High School.  She served as an English and special education for eleven years before transitioning to administration.  Cuffee has a Bachelors in English from Clemson University and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from George Washington University. 

Adam Coombs will serve as an Assistant Principal of Smithfield High School.  Coombs is currently an Assistant Principal with Franklin City Schools.  Previously, he was a high school English teacher at Windsor High School for four years as well as a high school English teacher for three years with Newport News Public Schools.  Coombs is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters of Education in Secondary Education.

Cristine Pisani will be the new Assistant Principal at Smithfield Middle School, replacing Natalie Street who is moving to the same role at Carrollton Elementary School.  Pisani has been an Academic Coach with Suffolk Public Schools since 2020.  She also served as an elementary school teacher and middle school reading specialist in Suffolk.  Pisani has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Shippensburg University, a Masters of Arts in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a Certificate in Educational Leadership from George Washington University.

Johnathan Creekmur will be the new Assistant Principal at Georgie Tyler Middle School.  He comes to Isle of Wight with twenty-six years teaching experience, most recently as a middle school language arts teacher with Suffolk Public Schools.  Prior to this, he served as a middle school and elementary education teacher in New Jersey and Maryland.  Creekmur has a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Lincoln University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University.  He will join IWCS on July 11, 2022.

Patrick Dulin will serve as the new Athletic Director at Smithfield High School.  Dulin has been a Health and Physical Education teacher at Westside Elementary since 2018.  Previously, he was a Health and Physical Education teacher and held various coaching roles with Portsmouth Public Schools as well as Alliance Christian School in Portsmouth.  Dulin has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education, as well as an endorsement in Drivers Education and Health.

Tracey Parker has been named the Head Varsity Football Coach at Smithfield High School.  Parker comes to Isle of Wight from Suffolk and Hampton City Schools where he has over 20 years as both a Health and Physical Education teacher and Coach.  He has a Bachelors degree in Sports Science from the University of Richmond and a Masters in Education from Arkansas Tech University.
