The school division has reached out to the Isle of Wight County Registrar and was informed that the results of the November 8, 2022 election for Districts 2 and 4 will be certified on or around Monday, November 14, 2022. After the results are certified, the duly elected members will be required to take an oath as required by Virginia law, after which they will become qualified to discharge their duties as School Board members. At that time, the seat for the current appointed School Board members will immediately transfer to the newly elected representatives. We thank Ms. Dial and Mr. Vines for their service to the IWCS School Board and look forward to working with Mr. Wooster and Mr. Maresh as elected representatives for Districts 2 and 4 respectively.
