The 2024 Olympics started early for students across IWCS. Many participated in the Special Olympics held at Nansemond River High School in Suffolk earlier in May. Students demonstrated their resiliency, tenacity, and sportsmanship as they competed in various activities alongside students from Suffolk and Portsmouth. Student volunteers from both high schools assisted the Olympians with strategies and motivational messages, as did their coaches. Congratulations to all the students who competed this year in the Special Olympics!
