Congratulations to the Class of 2024 Valedictorians and Salutatorians

Smithfield High and Windsor High held commencement ceremonies on Friday, June 14, at Liberty Live in Hampton, VA. Windsor High graduated 131 students, with 45 recognized as honor graduates. The class earned $2,548,524 in scholarship money. Jenna Garris, whose parents are Paul and Sherry Garris of Zuni, VA, is the class Valedictorian. Garris will attend Camp Community College and major in General Studies before attending a four-year college. The salutatorian is Tyler Asmussen, son of Elizabeth Driggers and Kevin Asmussen of Carrsville, VA. Asmussen will attend Notre Dame and major in Computer Science.
Smithfield High had 298 graduates with 130 recognized as honor graduates. The class earned $4.3 million in scholarship money. The class valedictorian is Seth Thomas, whose parents are Jeffrey and Wendy Thomas of Smithfield, VA. He will attend Virginia Tech to study Biochemical Engineering after completing a religious mission trip. The class salutatorian is Mallory Johnson. She is the daughter of Eric and Elizabeth Johnson of Carrollton, VA. She will attend Virginia Tech in the fall where she will pursue a major in Biochemistry/Pre-Med.
