Dr. Kristen Wilkins has been named Principal of Windsor Elementary School. Wilkins has devoted the last 8 years of her 16-year career in education to Isle of Wight County Schools. She first served as a Special Education teacher at Carrollton Elementary, followed by service to Georgie Tyler Middle School as an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal. Currently, Dr. Wilkins serves as a Special Education Coordinator where she supports schools with compliance and provides assistance to special education students, families, and educators. She holds a doctorate degree from Liberty University. Wilkins is on the board for Voices for Kids CASA and is the President of the Virginia Council of Exceptional Children. She is a resident of Isle of Wight County, where she resides with her husband and two children.
Terrah Abbey is the new Nursing Supervisor for Isle of Wight County Schools. Abbey joined the division in August 2021 as the school nurse for Westside Elementary School. Prior to her new role, she was serving as the nurse for Smithfield Middle School. Abbey is currently working on a Master's Degree in Executive Leadership in Nursing.
