Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s):
As stated on the Virginia Department of Education website, http://www.doe.virginia.gov, the Virginia’s Standards of Learning accountability program is committed to informing the public of the progress of schools in raising student achievement and enhancing the learning environment. Online report cards for schools, school divisions, and the commonwealth include data on student achievement by grade, student, and student subgroup as well as information on other indicators of school quality, including teacher qualifications.
The parents of any student attending an Isle of Wight County school may obtain school report card information by visiting the following Virginia Department of Education website, School and Division Report Cards. At this website, click on VA School Report Card located in the right column. Scroll down to the heading School Division and State Online Report Cards. Once you select this topic, you may choose a school report card by selecting either the division name or school name. In addition, parents may also contact their child’s school to obtain a copy of the school’s report card.
Isle of Wight County Schools encourages parents to become informed about the progress of our schools and be involved in your child’s education on a regular basis. Please feel free to contact your child’s school with any questions you may have about the school report card.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Heather Tuck
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction
