Virginians are encouraged to send thank-you notes to teachers who have made a difference in their own lives or in the lives of their loved ones. Digital thank-you notes can be sent at bit.ly/VAThankATeacher. Last year, more than 30,000 thank-you notes were sent to teachers last year by students, parents and others. m joining the Virginia Lottery, the Virginia PTA and the Virginia Tourism Corporation to encourage all Virginians to participate. Teachers who receive thank-you notes also will have the chance to win prizes from the Virginia Lottery, the Virginia Tourism Corporation, Amtrak and the Virginia Department of Rail and Transportation.
